WorldDAB in collaboration with the Arab States Broadcasting Union is holding a DAB+ technical webinar from Sept. 15–17.
The online meeting targets technical experts and radio broadcasters who are implementing or planning the rollout of DAB+ digital radio. The webinars will take place every morning from 8–9:30 a.m. UTC (10–11:30 a.m. CEST).
With an international panel of industry specialists, WorldDAB says participant questions are encouraged throughout the session. They will be answered either during or immediately after each session.
Presenters include Kathryn Sabel Brown, S-Comm Technologies; Arne Borsum, IZT; Lindsay Cornell, BBC Design + Engineering and WorldDAB; Patrick Hannon, Frontier Smart Technologies and WorldDAB; and Jerome Hirigoyen, TDF.
The virtual event will also feature presentations from Honey Habibollahzadeh, ATBB; Bernie O’Neill, WorldDAB; Prem Rajalingham, Frontier Smart Technologies; Rich Redmond, GatesAir International; Dr. Les Sabel, S-Comm Technologies and WorldDAB; Dr. Adnan Salhab, Arab States Broadcasting Union; and Hermann Zensen, Digidia.
The series will cover various technical aspects related to DAB+. For example on Sept. 15. participants will receive updates on system features, standards, as well as DAB+ receivers for the home and car. On Sept. 16 presenters will provide insight into encoding and multiplexing; real world implementations; modern transmitters and transmission systems. And on Sept. 17, topics will include DAB+ network design; SFN design examples; the commercial and technical business case for DAB+.
Attendance is free of charge but pre-registration is necessary.
