Cumulus Media’s Westwood One and Super Hi-Fi have announced a partnership for Super Hi-Fi’s Weathercaster — Westwood One will exclusively market and monetize the AI-generated weather service.
According to Super Hi-Fi, Weathercaster is the world’s only AI-powered audio-based weather report service for radio, and provides highly accurate, timely information while completely automating the content creation and audio production processes. Super Hi-Fi says this saves radio companies significant time and money and allows for incredibly high-quality localized weather reports to be included with every linear radio broadcast.
“We are always looking for game-changing technological innovations that deliver exceptional results for our affiliates and modernize the audio ecosystem,” said Suzanne Grimes, president of Westwood One and EVP of corporate marketing at Cumulus Media. “Our Super Hi-Fi partnership allows us to offer our radio affiliates the highest quality weather reports for their listeners with minimal effort and maximum value.”
“With Westwood One’s scale and Super Hi-Fi’s AI-powered innovation, we’re making it easier than ever to help radio transform into a digital future that offers material growth opportunities using the power of AI,” said John Bolton, chief business officer at Super Hi-Fi.
