Day 3 of UNESCO Remote Radio Week put the focus on remote contributions.
In Wednesday’s session “How to Manage Audio Contribution From Home,” moderator Dr. Lawrie Hallett spoke to Bala Murali Subramaney of Astro Radio in Malaysia, Gary Kline of Kline Consulting, and Steve Ahearn of the ABU Media Academy, about the best ways to prepare to go on air from home.
In this session they discuss considerations when managing live connections and offer advice on how to prepare for future emergency situations, including connectivity tips, broadcasting live on air remotely, as well as the importance of finding a balance between quality and content in order to ensure useful information (even at a slightly lower quality) reaches the audience.
