The Radio Academy’s Foot In The Door event is heading to Belfast on March 19, offering entry-level and early-career audio professionals a day of training, networking and industry insights.
The event, held at Queen’s University Belfast in partnership with BBC Sounds, Broadcast Bionics and student station Queen’s Radio, will feature training workshops, talks and a speed-networking session to connect participants with industry leaders from the BBC, commercial radio, technology providers and independent production.
The three-hour workshop will cover program production, podcasting, social media, brand development, music radio, news and speech audio, imaging and technology. Attendees can choose sessions based on their interests and gain direct insights from national, regional and local professionals.
A key highlight is the 90-minute speed-networking session, where delegates meet a cross-section of audio professionals to explore career opportunities and gain practical advice on breaking into the industry.
The day concludes with a social event hosted by The Radio Academy’s Belfast Branch, where members can connect over drinks.
Tickets cost £6 for Radio Academy members and £12 for non-members, with discounts on future membership. Attendance at the social event, including a drink, is free for members and £4 for non-members.
