Organizers of The Podcast Show 2023, scheduled for May 24-25 in London, have added more speakers for the event. Newly confirmed speakers include Adam Buxton, The News Agents (Emily Maitlis, Jon Sopel and Lewis Goodall), Nish Kumar, Alice Levine, Fearne Cotton, Jon Snow, Patricia Bright, Gabby Logan, Roman Kemp, Giovanna Fletcher, Brown Girls Do It Too (Poppy Jay and Rubina Pabani), Raphael Rowe and Sam Thompson.
International speakers confirmed thus far include Emma Vaughn (Spotify’s global head of advertising business development and partnerships), Lory Martinez (founder of Studio Ochenta), Julien Neuville (co-founder of Nouvelles Écoutes), Tom Höglund (co-founder at Epidemic Sound), Fatima Zaidi (CEO and founder of Quill Inc.) and Jeff Vidler (president and founder of Signal Hill Insights).
The organisers are also launching the inaugural International Podcast Trailblazer Award, which recognizes an individual who has made a global impact on the podcast industry. This will be announced at the Preview Night in the Business Design Centre on May 23 at 7.30pm. The Industry Advisory Panel, a group of key influential players from across the industry, will select the award winner.
The Podcast Show LIVE will host a week-long live podcast festival promoted by TEG Live Europe. The evening shows will take place around London from May 22 to 28, celebrating world-class talent and bringing some favorite voices from podcasting to the stage. These live shows will include Kermode & Mayo’s Take, Tape Notes Live with Adam Buxton!, Tea With Me — Shane Todd, The Socially Distant Sports Bar, AFTV: The Invincible Podcast and The Useless Hotline. The shows take place across Islington in London at Union Chapel, Islington Assembly Hall and The Business Design Centre.
