Flush with the success of this year’s event, the organizers of the London-based The Podcast Show are storming ahead with preparations for next year’s event, which they claim will be bigger and even more ambitious than before, with more venues, more content and bigger names.
Helping podcasters develop their craft is a crucial focus for the organizers, and so they are doubling the size of the Brand Works Theatre, where podcast creators can see some of the biggest brands and meet media agencies face-to-face.
The Creator’s Corner will also give creators chances to meet up and seek advice from key figures in the industry, and next year the organizers will launch a brand-new feature called Create & Play.
Also new for 2023 is PodHouse, an exclusive area at the heart of the show floor that will host back-to-back networking drinks receptions. Leading brands, talent, production and advertising organizations will host these “invitation only” events.
Amazon Music, Wondery and Acast are headline sponsors, and Audioboom, BBC Sounds and Global return as official partners. You can see the complete list of partners here.
Like this year’s event, next year’s will have two parts: The daytime The Podcast Show, 24–25 May, based at the Business Design Centre in the London borough of Islington, which is dedicated to the business side of podcasting, and the night-time festival of live podcasts — The Podcast Show LIVE, 22-28 May, at various venues in the city.
The organizers say that passes for The Podcast Show 2023 go on sale early in the new year, with a host of new program announcements.
