Tech Focus: Tieline says its Bridge-IT XTRA II IP audio codec sets new standards for affordable, reliable, high-quality broadcasting over IP networks. Bridge-IT XTRA II includes all the features in the first-generation Bridge-IT XTRA, plus essential features to support modern IP networking requirements. It supports full-duplex stereo or two full-duplex mono connections and includes native support for AES67, ST2110-30, ST2022-7, Livewire, Ravenna and AMWA NMOS IS-04 and IS-05.
Other features include XLR analog and digital AES inputs, dual Ethernet ports, dual AoIP ports, dual IEC power supplies, multi-unicasting and multicasting, plus encoding options, including the AAC suite of algorithms, Opus, G.722, MPEG Layer 2, Enhanced aptX, Tieline Music and MusicPlus.
For STLs, it supports SNMP and automated failover to another connection, HTTP stream, or audio file playback. It also includes SmartStream Plus redundant streaming and Fuse-IP data aggregation as standard. The ToolBox HTML5 web GUI allows real-time monitoring and connection management.
