NeoGroupe has just added a new function for phone systems that interface with NeoScreener, its call-screening application for talk shows.
Now, stations using NeoScreener can send an HTTPS link that lets the guest call the studio on priority lines in their device’s web browser. In addition, the call will be in HD audio (higher-quality codecs such as Opus for NeoSIP and G.722 for others).
There is no app to install. This enhancement makes it very easy to have some callers on air with higher audio quality than over the phone — similar to communications in Teams and Zoom.
NeoGroupe’s NeoSIP is an all-software cloud VoIP phone system tailored for small stations and clusters. It allows remote call screening and, according to NeoGroupe, is currently in use at more than 65 stations.
