Registration is now open for SwissRadioDay, this year on Aug. 28, at the Kaufleuten in Zurich.
“The SwissRadioDay is the only event for representatives of all language regions in Switzerland that is entirely dedicated to the medium of radio,” according to the website.
Like any established industry show there’ll be presentations, discussions, workshops and plenty of socializing (with food and drink!). Or those who can’t make it there will be live streaming of portions.
Already teased topics of discussion include: The future of journalism and the role of centralized editorial offices; Artificial intelligence on the radio — from on-air applications to music production; studying the listening habits of youth; and the common future of radio and podcasts.
Plus the expected — formats, content ideas, audience research, the psychology of the ever-elusive listener and more.
According to the website, “The Unikom association and the DAB + networks SwissMediaCast and Digris, as well as SUISA, Swissperform, IFPI and Audion are also involved in SwissRadioDay, supported by the presenting partner Swisscom Broadcast.”
