CRA unveils ‘Audio x Mixed Media Modeling’ session at Heard 2025
Salem Media Group has announced changes to its Salem Radio Network and Salem News Channel lineups, effective Monday, Jan. 13.
Longtime SRN/SNC host Hugh Hewitt will move his morning program to the afternoon slot from 3 to 6 p.m. ET, replacing Dr. Sebastian Gorka, who is stepping down after six years to join the White House. During his new time slot, Hewitt will provide live coverage and analysis of breaking news from Washington, D.C.
Chris Stigall, currently the morning host on AM 990 The Answer in Philadelphia, will take over Hewitt’s morning show, airing from 6 to 9 a.m. ET. Stigall has been a morning host since 2006, working in Kansas City and Philadelphia. He has been with Salem for six years and will broadcast his program nationally while continuing his local show in Philadelphia.
Hewitt’s and Stigall’s programs will air on the Salem Radio Network and be simulcast on Salem News Channel, which broadcasts in 56 markets and is available on platforms such as Pluto TV, Samsung TV Plus and Sling TV.
“We’re excited to give Hugh and Chris these new opportunities,” said Salem Senior Vice President of Spoken Word Phil Boyce. “This is an important time for conservative news and talk programming, and we believe these changes will resonate with our listeners.”
Hewitt, who began his radio career in Los Angeles in 1990, launched his nationally syndicated program in 2000. It now airs on more than 450 affiliates. “This move to afternoons allows me to provide analysis and commentary on breaking news as it happens,” Hewitt said.
Stigall added, “I’m thrilled to grow our morning audience across the country. Salem’s commitment to free speech and conservative programming makes this a tremendous opportunity.”
