Radiodays Asia opens sponsored speaking opportunities for 2026
Radio Network News, an independent national radio news provider, has launched in the United States using the NewsCloud newsroom platform from Radio.Cloud.
Radio.Cloud describes NewsCloud as a cloud-based newsroom efficiency and productivity platform that supports large-scale creation and distribution of localized audio news content. It provides tools for journalists and anchors to write, localize, produce and distribute newscasts from a centralized environment.
RNN said the move supports its goal of creating a different editorial and production approach from traditional radio network services. “Our goal from day one was to move away from the traditional, harsh, compressed sound of legacy wire services,” said Dan Warren, founder of Radio Network News. “We wanted to bring a modern, authoritative, high-end news podcast aesthetic to commercial radio — something that stands completely on its own two feet.”
Warren said the partnership allows RNN to adapt content for individual markets while maintaining a consistent presentation style. “By partnering with NewsCloud, our anchors can deliver that premium, intimate sound while dynamically adapting the content so it feels hyper-local and immediately relevant to every single affiliate market we serve,” he said.
“NewsCloud actually predates Radio.Cloud and is used by some of the biggest networks in Europe,” said Andrew Scaglione, account director at Radio.Cloud. “With the end of CBS News Radio, we’re excited to step in and provide RNN with all the tools to offer custom, local newscasts to stations.”
According to Radio.Cloud, the platform allows a single anchor to produce multiple localized versions of a newscast each hour and distribute them rapidly to affiliate stations. The company says this approach increases production efficiency and enables stations to deliver updated and locally relevant news content more frequently.
