Radiodays Europe 2021 will take place at the Lisbon Congress Center in Portugal, Oct. 9–11. The conference will also be online for those who cannot attend in person.
RDE has posted the preliminary program online, promising three days packed with speakers from the radio and podcast industries.
Day 1 will offer Masterclasses on setting up a podcast, constructive journalism, reaching the younger generation and empowering women in the radio/audio workplace.
Days 2 and 3 will have sessions with different tracks. The Radio Summit session will bring together Anette Kokholm, head of Radio for DR in Denmark; Caroline Beasley, CEO of Beasley Media Group in the United States; Patricia Schlesinger, director general of RBB in Germany; and Marc Vossen, CEO of Ngroup in Belgium. A double session will feature Paul Keenan, head of Audio for Bauer Media in the United Kingdom and Richard Stern, CEO of TuneIn in the U.S.
Cilla Benkö, director of Swedish Radio in Sweden and Christoph Falke of Axel Springer Audio in Germanywill discuss managing a digital transformation. Radio in Portugal will be highlighted with three examples of successful initiatives. Other sessions will focus on talk radio, comedy, music formats, how to produce a morning show and the “Moment Interview” technique.
Additional topics include machines and voice, branding, planning radio successfully, podcasting, advertising and revenue, the pandemic, radio in the car and audio tech innovations.
