For the first time, Radio Contact is Southern Belgium’s leading station for digital audiences. According to the latest CIM Radio Stream Monitor, the “Feel Good” station had an audience share of 21.6% in 2022 — better than its main commercial competitor Nostalgie, with 19.5% and public broadcaster Classic 21, with 12.1 %.
Radio Contact ascribes its success to its broad digital broadcast ecosystem of TV, website, internet, radio app, social media, web radio and contact stream, allowing it to position itself among various target audiences.
“For Radio Contact, the leading position in terms of digital audience in 2022 is a fantastic success,” enthused Frédéric Herbays, Media Radio Director for RTL Belgium, which owns the station. “With digital radio listening representing close to 18% of the total volume, offering the best programs has become our priority. In January, we included a new web radio channel, “La playlist de Tonton” (Tonton’s playlist), which is making our audiences dance.”
