Earlier this month Finnish multimedia company Sanoma worked with AI specialist Radio.Cloud to add an AI-produced and voiced 3–7 p.m. segment to its national station Radio Loop.
The voice, called Anni, was modeled on Satu Kotonen, who airs on another Sanoma property, HitMix.
For her part, Kotonen said, “My vision of a good radio voice is authenticity, clarity, and presence. The voice material comes from broadcasts I have done on HitMix, which means real situations and energy. I’m part of this project because of my love for the industry and my natural curiosity, especially when it comes to technological advancements.”
Radio.Cloud CEO Christian Brenner said, “Radio.Cloud already powers nearly a dozen AI-driven 24/7 channels globally, primarily as streams or in specific local regions. This milestone marks a groundbreaking moment as we now support a national FM station airing a prime-time show with Radio.Cloud’s innovative Voicetrack.AI platform.”
Sanoma Media Finland radio stations include Radio Loop, Radio Suomipop, Radio Rock, HitMix, Aito Iskelmä, Classic Hits, Easy Hits, Kantriradio and Groove FM.
