Belgian French-language music station Nostalgie Belgique will stage seven free Halloween trails for families from Oct. 10–31. The off-air promotion will transform parks and castles across Brussels and French-speaking Belgium with themed sets, costumed characters, games, challenges and candy.
The series will begin Oct. 10 at Parc de l’Harmonie in Verviers, followed by Château de Boussu in Boussu on Oct. 17 and Parc Garcet in Jette on Oct. 24. Later events will take place at Château d’Ordange in Seraing on Oct. 25, Parc du Château in Oupeye on Oct. 28, Château Féodal de Moha in Moha on Oct. 30 and Parc d’Ans in Ans on Oct. 31.
Nostalgie will offer two versions of the trail at each location. A gentler, more fantastical experience for younger children begins at 3 p.m., while the surroundings and characters become more mysterious after dark for braver children up to age 12.
Participation is free, but advance registration is required. Each visitor needs a ticket; bookings are limited to five tickets per family, and an adult must accompany children. Registration for each event opens two weeks before its scheduled date.
