This year’s World Radio Day in Milan, Italy, organized by media company Radiospeaker, will take place on Thursday, Feb. 20, at Talent Garden Calabiana. The event, usually held on Feb. 13 to align with UNESCO’s World Radio Day, has been moved to avoid clashing with the Sanremo Festival, a major event for Italian broadcasters.
The program features industry professionals, including artists, presenters, station managers and executives, for a day of discussions, training and celebration with local and national radio stations. Aeranti-Corallo, one of the event’s sponsors, will participate in a roundtable discussion on key issues affecting the radio industry. The panel, scheduled for 2:30 p.m., will include Agcom Commissioners Laura Aria and Massimiliano Capitanio, Dgtel-Mimit Director General Patrizia Catenacci and Audiradio President Antonio Martusciello.
Earlier in the day, at 10:40 a.m., Elena Porta of Aeranti-Corallo will participate in a workshop on DAB+. The full event program will be published in the coming days.
The event will be available in person (with pre-accreditation) and via live streaming on Radiospeaker’s social media channels.
