Apps will be the name of the game for broadcast equipment maker and software developer Lawo at the NAB Show.
New Home apps are being introduced. Lawo’s approach with its Home apps platform is to be media- and mission-agnostic. That is, the Home environment provides a wide environment of apps — audio, video, codecs, viewers, processors, workflow, color correctors, etc. And they exist on off-she-shelf servers, no expensive, branded specialized hardware to be bought.

Lawo describes the system as “a robust, scalable, and secure foundation for managing modern IP-based media infrastructures, reducing operational complexity while increasing reliability and performance.”
In addition there will be the latest Lawo hardware on display: notably the crystal broadcast mixers and consoles and the latest in mc236 and mc256 production consoles. The mc2 console family has received software updates recently.
Lawo will be at Booth N623.
