KROQ-FM, an Audacy-owned radio station in Los Angeles, has renamed its Wilshire Boulevard performance venue the In-N-Out Burger Sound Space at KROQ, following a new partnership with the U.S. fast-food chain.
The station said the venue — located in the Miracle Mile district of Los Angeles — will continue to host live broadcasts, small-scale concerts, podcast recordings and branded events.
Kevin Weatherly, senior vice president of programming at KROQ, said the partnership marks the next phase for the space, which has been used for live music performances and artist sessions for more than a decade.
The venue will relaunch with a performance by indie rock band Bleachers on April 21. KROQ said some events will include on-site food service from an In-N-Out Cookout Truck.
In-N-Out Burger president and owner Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson said the collaboration reflects a shared connection to Southern California’s music and cultural landscape.
The Sound Space opened in 2011 and has hosted more than 170 performances, featuring artists including Coldplay, Green Day and Foo Fighters.
Separately, KROQ and In-N-Out Burger said they will stage the sixth annual “Rock 2 Freedom” benefit concert on Oct. 24 at The Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles. The event supports the Slave 2 Nothing Foundation, which funds organizations working on human trafficking and substance abuse recovery.
