With responsibility for the strategies, activities and performance of all IABM sales, marketing and market development, Darren Whitehead has been promoted to the trade body’s Director of Sales and Marketing.
Having spent almost nine years as Director of Business Development, Whitehead’s expanded role includes harmonizing sales and marketing activities, as well as continuing to coordinate the activities of IABM Regional Members’ Councils.
According to the IABM, Whitehead will also be driving new initiatives that help its members do better. The international trade organization says that as the broadcast and media technology market matures, IABM members are increasingly looking to adjacent markets for growth opportunities, particularly in the Enterprise AV sector which now uses all the same technology that was previously the reserve of broadcasters.
“IABM exists to help our members grow their business; this is true whether it is in or outside of Broadcast and Media,” said Whitehead. “There are exciting opportunities for growth out there, and we will concentrate on activities and services that introduce our members to these new opportunities. They already have the right products and services, but new approaches and strategies are needed to enter these markets.”
The IABM pledges to continue to support members with its full range of services in the broadcast and media industry.
