CRA unveils ‘Audio x Mixed Media Modeling’ session at Heard 2025
IABM — the international trade association for the broadcast and media industry — has announced the appointment of Saleha Williams as chief executive officer, effective Dec. 2, 2024.
As CEO, Williams will lead IABM’s efforts to support the global broadcast and media technology industry. She will collaborate with the board of directors and the IABM team to develop strategies that promote innovation, foster collaboration and drive industry growth.
Williams brings more than 30 years of international experience in media technology. Her career includes leadership roles with organizations such as the BBC, Google, WPP, Cognizant, Cisco, Siemens, BT, the U.K. government, the Olympics and clients across Hollywood and Bollywood. A technology ESG advocate, she also serves as a non-executive director at the United Nations Environmental Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre.
Williams has been acknowledged for her work at events, including the London 2012 Olympics, NAB Show, IBC Show and Mobile World Congress. She is also a diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) advocate, focusing on strategies that promote inclusive innovation in the media and entertainment industry.
A completely fresh approach
“I’m thrilled to be welcoming Saleha Williams as our new chief executive officer for IABM,” said Josh Arensberg, chair of the board at IABM. “Saleha brings a deep history of leadership in the media industry and understands the potential of our industry to deliver groundbreaking products and services. The board is eager to work closely with her to build our future vision together.”
Lucinda Meek, chief finance and operations officer at IABM, added, “Saleha will bring a completely fresh approach to IABM, and I am very much looking forward to working with her as we strive to make IABM even better at delivering on its primary purpose — helping all our members to do better business.”
Williams said that she was honored to be appointed CEO. She added, “IABM has a long history of supporting the global broadcast and media technology industry, and I am excited to work with the board and the team to build on this legacy. Our industry is at a pivotal moment, and I am committed to working with our members to shape the future of media technology and drive innovation across our entire ecosystem.”
