Ferncast will co-host a free webinar with its partner, Thimeo Audio Technology, titled “Level up your FM distribution.” Scheduled for Nov. 26, 2024, at 10 a.m. CET, the online event will showcase the latest advancements in FM-over-IP technology.
The webinar will feature Ferncast experts demonstrating aixtream’s new support for MicroMPX FM-over-IP in collaboration with Thimeo’s Stereo Tool. The aixtream platform now provides full FM processing through Thimeo’s Stereo Tool, which includes MicroMPX (µMPX) encoding for studio-transmitter links (STL). MicroMPX enables nearly lossless FM encoding with precise peak control, even when using composite clipping.
The session will provide practical insights into reliable FM signal transport and an integrated, user-friendly interface. MicroMPX delivers a complete composite FM MPX signal—including pilot and RDS — at just 320 kbit/s, ensuring near-lossless quality with precise peak control, even when using composite clipping. Attendees will also learn how the Stereo Tool control interface integrates fully within aixtream’s user interface, simplifying the configuration of MicroMPX encoding.
Guest speaker Hans Van Zutphen, CEO of Thimeo Audio Technology, will provide expert insights into MicroMPX technology and Stereo Tool’s capabilities. Attendees will gain practical knowledge on leveraging this FM-over-IP solution for optimized FM distribution.
