Broadcast automation and production software and hardware developer ENCO has announced a North American distribution deal with Qimera for its virtual set and augmented reality technology.
According to the announcement: “ENCO will support all sales and marketing operations in North America effective immediately, and consult with Qimera on future product development initiatives, including new features and integrations with ENCO and RushWorks products.” ENCO recently acquired RushWorks broadcast automation, production and virtual studio set products.
ENCO President Ken Frommert said, “Qimera offers advanced virtual production technology at a very affordable price point, opening new doors for small-to-mid market TV stations, corporations, universities and visual radio broadcasters that were once priced out of the market.”
Details-wise Qimera offers editors, compositing tools, built-in video switcher, lighting controls with DMX IP, PTZ camera integration, 3D asset library, realistic graphics via Unreal Engine, and a virtual crane among other features.
Attendees at this week’s InfoComm show in Orlando, Fla., will get a sneak peek at Qimera’s products.
