RF2Digital and Elements Innovation, both members of the Digital Radio Mondiale Consortium, have completed the development of a compact, next-generation radio module that supports multiple digital standards, including DRM and Chinese Digital Radio.
The module is available in two configurations: DRM/DAB/FM/AM and DRM/CDR/FM/AM. According to the companies, the latter combination reflects the likely adoption of DRM and CDR as national digital standards in China.
The module supports DRM Band III, a key feature for countries such as Indonesia, China and South Africa where multiple digital standards are being considered. RF2Digital and Elements Innovation say the module is designed for flexibility in evolving broadcast environments and is positioned to be competitive in global digital radio markets.
It offers both analog and digital audio outputs and is suitable for use in consumer devices including in-vehicle infotainment systems, portable radios and home audio systems. The module uses automotive-grade components to ensure stable reception and high reliability, even in difficult signal conditions.
The two companies say this launch strengthens their position in the digital radio market and aligns with their commitment to develop advanced solutions in collaboration with global broadcasters and OEM partners.
