CES 2025, taking place from Jan. 7–10 in Las Vegas, is highlighting audio broadcasting developments, spotlighting AI integration and its transformative potential for the industry.

Jacobs Media is leading custom-curated tours tailored for radio broadcasters, offering insights into AI innovations and their applications in radio. The program also features sessions at C-Space, where experts can examine AI’s impact on media and marketing. Fred and Paul Jacobs are hosting a working lunch to discuss the implications of these trends for the radio broadcasting sector.

Christian Music Broadcasters is collaborating with Jacobs Media to organize a tour for its members. This initiative aims to explore the evolving role of AI in Christian music broadcasting, providing a deeper understanding of its influence on the sector’s future. Meanwhile, representatives from the Consumer Technology Association, including Senior Director of Innovation and Trends Brian Comiskey, will address the convergence of media and technology. Comiskey has highlighted the critical role of data and AI in personalizing content and engaging audiences, which he considers pivotal to the future of radio broadcasting.

SiriusXM is also playing a prominent role at CES 2025 with a series of events and discussions focusing on the future of audio entertainment. SiriusXM CEO Jennifer Witz, alongside Ashley Flowers, host of the podcast “Crime Junkie,” is delivering a keynote addressing the evolution of audio and how technology shapes listener engagement. Other sessions feature SiriusXM executives, including Lizzie Collins, who discusses media disruption and advertising strategies; Steve Coker, who explores connected vehicle safety; and Steve Keller, who examines AI’s impact on entertainment. Additionally, podcaster Alie Ward shares her perspectives on the intersection of science, humor and technology during a conversation at The Female Quotient Lounge.

Audacy, a multiplatform audio content and entertainment company connecting with 200 million consumers, is also present at CES 2025.

Audio broadcasting technology

CES 2025 is also the stage for several companies providing cutting edge audio broadcasting technology.

StreamGuys is highlighting its revenue and streaming and podcasting technology expertise, including RevenueStream, ultra-low latency streaming, broadcast-to-podcast tools and analytics. You can schedule a meeting with the team here.

Xperi is showcasing its latest innovations at convention. Among its offerings are DTS AutoStage, an in-vehicle entertainment platform that integrates audio, video and gaming content; HD Radio, a digital radio service with remarkable sound quality and additional channels; and TiVo, a media platform that prioritizes user choice and supports subscription services. The company will exhibit these technologies at the Las Vegas Convention Center and the ARIA Suites, offering attendees an opportunity to experience these advancements firsthand.

Fraunhofer IIS is exhibiting the MPEG-H Audio system, highlighting its applications in streaming and broadcasting for immersive and personalized sound experiences. The demonstrations include content produced during major live sports events and concerts, emphasizing features beneficial for live broadcasts.

Nordic Semiconductor is presenting advancements in Bluetooth LE Audio technology, focusing on power efficiency and broadcasting features. Bluetooth LE Audio marks a major advancement in wireless audio technology, enabling new applications such as shared listening and public broadcasting. By improving power efficiency and audio quality, it addresses key limitations of current systems, positioning itself as a pivotal innovation for both consumer and professional audio markets.

Demonstrations by Nordic will include updated Bluetooth LE Audio solutions and Matter over Thread implementations, showcasing ecosystem interoperability and the implications for inclusions in wireless earbuds, headphones and speakers.
