CRA unveils ‘Audio x Mixed Media Modeling’ session at Heard 2025
DTS, Inc., a subsidiary of Xperi Inc., announced that its DTS AutoStage platform is now integrated into more than 10 million vehicles across 146 countries. This includes over six million vehicles in North America equipped with both DTS AutoStage and HD Radio, highlighting its expanding global presence.
Jeff Jury, Xperi’s senior vice president and general manager of connected car, unveiled the milestone at the opening of CES 2025. “Our goal for DTS AutoStage has always been to enrich the in-cabin entertainment experience by offering personalized discovery that extends well beyond a basic screen display,” he said. Jury emphasized the platform’s ability to help automakers enhance customer engagement through intuitive content discovery and diverse entertainment options.
A recent DTS survey revealed that personal vehicle ownership remains central to consumer lifestyles, with Gen Z and luxury vehicle owners increasingly viewing their cars as a “third space” for relaxation, de-stressing or entertainment. Respondents identified improved comfort, personalization and a variety of infotainment choices comparable to their TVs or mobile devices as key features for enhancing their vehicle experience.
Jury also noted the evolving role of vehicles as more than just transportation. “The increasing adoption of DTS AutoStage reflects the shift in how vehicles are used,” he said. “As the competition for dashboard control intensifies between big tech and automakers, DTS AutoStage delivers next-generation entertainment while enabling automakers to maintain ownership of the customer experience, access engagement data and offer personalized infotainment systems.”
