The 30th edition of CABSAT, a conference for the broadcast, satellite, content creation, production, distribution and entertainment industries in the MEASA region, concluded on May 23, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Centre with, according to organizers, a record-breaking turnout.
The final day of the conference saw more than 18,000 attendees and featured announcements of partnerships and memorandums of understanding among exhibitors, along with discussions of emerging trends and technologies.
Majed Al Suwaidi, senior vice president of Dubai Media City, Dubai Studio City, and Dubai Production City at TECOM Group PJSC, emphasized the role of local talent in the region’s content creation economy. “Enabling and accelerating local talent is crucial to consistently secure the incredible expansion of the regional content creation economy. We are proud to have served as a global platform for regional storytellers and were pleased to champion their vibrancy and creativity as a strategic partner of CABSAT’s milestone 30th edition this year,” Al Suwaidi said.
