Flanders’ youngest semi-national radio network, TOPradio, has undergone a metamorphosis, and the station’s sonic branding is one of the primary ear catchers. The dance and dance-pop station switched from 2023 to 2024 with a series of new themes and audio designs for the news produced by audio branding experts Brandy.
The team at Brandy faced a challenge in designing the imaging: How do they highlight a brand when the songs it plays are full of energy and enthusiasm? Brandy says its answer was with solid melodies and cutting-edge production values, which is how it describes the sound of the new TOPradio jingles. We Make You Move — Volume 2 consists of six new themes with catchy vocals and plenty of character, carried by a strong melody.
The jingles went on air at the end of last year during the Dance Top 1000. According to the station, the jingles immediately caused a spike in listenership. “The online listening figure increased by 15% compared to last year, and our cumulative reach by 23%,” says Peter Huyghe, owner of TOPradio. “The strengthening of our offering and rebranding are working incredibly well, and Brandy is our perfect imaging partner. The team there understands what a unique station like TOP needs.”
