World Radio Alliance releases latest global data on radio’s dominance

As Veterans’ Day (Nov. 11) approaches in the United States, Beasley Broadcast Group’s southwest Florida’s WXKB (FM) and WRXK (FM), originating in Fort Myers, will feature veteran-oriented programming on Friday, Nov. 10.
The main effort will be in support the Home Base Southwest Florida charity which “provides important support to veterans, service members, and their families coping with the invisible wounds of war, offering life-changing and life-saving programs and services at no cost to veterans, service members, and their families.”
According to a release, “Both stations will interview military generals, veterans, individuals who have participated in Home Base Clinical/ Fitness programs as well as representatives from Lee Health to highlight the organization’s clinical care and suicide prevention programs.”
The programming will air 7–9:30 a.m. on WXKB and from 3:05–5 p.m. on WRXK.
Operations Manager Adam Star said, “Florida takes great pride in being home to one of the highest population of veterans in the United States. … It’s crucial to use the power of radio to share important information with our veteran community. We want to ensure that these brave women and men are well-informed about the incredible resources they can access through Home Base Florida Veteran Family and Veteran Care.”
