Beasley Media Group says it will launch a multi-platform programming initiative to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States, with content rolling out across on-air, digital and in-car platforms throughout 2026.
The company says the Community of Caring initiative will focus on historical storytelling and audience engagement, with Philadelphia — the birthplace of American independence — positioned as a central location in the programming.
Beasley says its stations will broadcast public service announcements multiple times daily, highlighting key moments from 1776, including the roles of Benjamin Franklin and John Adams, the actions of the Continental Congress, and George Washington’s crossing of the Delaware. The company says this content will be supported by live and recorded interviews featuring contributors discussing the country’s founding and development.
The initiative will also extend to digital platforms, with Beasley planning a dedicated section featuring editorial content tied to the anniversary. The company says it will use in-car visual systems from Quu to deliver real-time messaging to listeners’ dashboards, complementing on-air output.
Beasley says its stations will also highlight local and regional events, connecting audiences to community activities linked to the anniversary celebrations. Heidi Raphael, chief communications officer at Beasley Media Group, said, “At this pivotal time in our nation’s history, Philadelphia holds an especially unique and powerful place in telling America’s story. Through our Community of Caring Initiative, we’re proud to share that story across our platforms — connecting our audiences to the past while celebrating what lies ahead.”
