2XX FM is Canberra’s oldest community radio station, running since 1973 on 98.3 FM and now also online. Its programs are community-focused and politically active, and include cultural and sport information.
The station recently renovated its two main radio studios, installing two AEQ Forum IP digital audio mixers.
Forum IP is a small, modular digital audio mixing console designed for on air broadcast control. It offers all the basic features necessary in this type of environment: automatic monitor cut, cough-cut, fader start, signaling control, control signals for the automation of external equipment, management of external communications and intercommunication.
The system also provides AoIP multichannel input and output modules with up to 64 input and output channels compatible with the new AES67 protocol via Dante technology.
The central switching for 2XX is handled by an AEQ Netbox 32 MX unit, which works as the central router of the all-IP installation.
