Registration is now open for this year’s ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium. The organizers are again playing it safe — they have kept it a virtual event, scheduled for March 21–24. The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union says the symposium is a leading event for broadcasters in the region and beyond. This year’s theme is Evolving Media Workflows.
According to the organizers, the ABU DBS 2022 event will have eight conference sessions with the following themes:
- Industry developments and standards update
- Evolving business strategies for broadcast and media
- Cyber security and media in the cloud
- AI and big data applications in media
- Broadcasting in the cloud — evolving workflows
- Advances in media delivery — transmitters, CDNs, 5G and beyond
- IP technologies and remote production
- Immersive technology implementation — UHD, HDR, NGA, VR & AR
