Radioplayer has added a dedicated In-Car module to its Radioplayer Insight analytics platform. The module gives broadcasters listening data from connected cars across DAB, FM and IP streaming, complementing the platform’s existing Out-of-Car analytics.

Radioplayer said its technology is integrated across 19 car brands, which have begun connecting their primary radio interfaces to the new module. The data shows broadcasters where, when and for how long audiences listen, which stations they select and the bearer — DAB, FM or IP — delivering the service.
“We build the technology that carmakers use to deliver their primary radio experience,” said Radioplayer CEO Yann Legarson. “Radioplayer Insight returns the value of that delivery directly back to radio stations, with data no individual broadcaster could generate alone. It is the industry’s fastest in-car radio analytics platform, and it is available to every Radioplayer member station and not reserved for those paying for any premium tier. The data is owned by broadcasters; our role is to help the industry make the most of it.”
The In-Car module became available through the Radioplayer Insight dashboard on Sept. 24 at no additional cost to Radioplayer member broadcasters. The platform also includes tools to improve metadata quality and control how stations appear in connected cars and on other platforms, while further carmaker integrations are expected to extend its analytics coverage.

“Measuring DAB, FM and IP listening together at this scale is a significant technical achievement,” said Radioplayer Head of Data Innovation and AI Strategy Eugenio La Teana. “We turn complex data from connected cars into clear, usable intelligence in real time, including bearer information that connects broadcast listening to transmission infrastructure. This creates a level of visibility into in-car radio that simply wasn’t available before, and that is of great value to radio broadcasters.”
