Apple is strengthening its presence in France with the opening of an Apple Music radio studio in Paris.
The first of its kind on continental Europe, the opening of the Paris studio is one of many initiatives Apple has taken to support the French cultural scene.
Located on the iconic Avenue des Champs-Élysées, the company explains that the studio will be the place to create local original content, just like other Apple Music studios in Los Angeles, New York, Nashville and London.
“France has a special place in my heart,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook. “Every time I visit, I am inspired by this welcoming, vibrant and deeply creative community of artists and developers. I’m thrilled to celebrate 40 years of Apple in France with our local teams and the customers and communities they serve.”
With Apple Music hosts Mehdi Maïzi and T-Miss at the helm, the Paris studio will host the biggest names in French-language music, while providing a platform for emerging talent.
The audio shows and long-format interviews of programs “Le Code” and “Hits Français” will be recorded there. The studio will also soon welcome artists who host their own radio shows. The space will include a radio studio with a DJ booth, as well as a listening booth for artists.
Today, Apple has 2,700 employees in France and 20 Apple Stores, the largest network on continental Europe. In addition, the company has nearly 500 local suppliers.
