DAB+ digital radio coverage in tunnels? It might not be the sexiest of topics but for many DAB+ broadcasters it is an important topic.
To get the latest, the WorldDAB organization has scheduled a webinar on the topic for Dec. 10, 10–12 CET.
Heading it up will be Hanns Wolter of the WorldDAB Spectrum and Network Implementation Committee. He’ll be joined “experts from the sector,” according to the announcement.
It added that topics to be covered include, “advantages and trade-offs of different technologies to bring the broadcast signal into the tunnel for continuous reception; functionalities and capabilities of an emergency break-in system and its deployment; and how legal and financial aspects are dealt with in different countries, and the responsibilities of system operation.”
The announcement pitches, “The webinar is aimed at broadcasters, network operators, regulators, policymakers and professional equipment manufacturers and is free to attend.”
