WorldDAB will showcase the latest developments in DAB+ technology during The Paris Radio Show on Jan. 28–29, 2025, focusing on innovation and the future of digital radio.
WorldDAB is inviting attendees to visit its booth and join the conversation about how DAB+ is shaping the future of audio broadcasting. WorldDAB Project Director Bernie O’Neill and the organization’s Programme Manager in France, Jean-Marc Dubreuil, will be on hand at the WorldDAB stand to meet with visitors.
Among the WorldDAB highlights at the show is a presentation on the DAB+ Automatic Safety Alert (ASA), nominated for the Paris Radio Show Grand Prix 2025 in the “Best Innovation” category. The ASA, designed to save lives and enhance public safety during emergencies, will be demonstrated live at the WorldDAB exhibition booth throughout the event.
O’Neill will lead a dedicated session on the ASA on Jan. 29 at 3:30 p.m. CET. The presentation will explore how this technology can deliver critical safety alerts effectively via DAB+. You can read more about the ASA in Dubreuil’s RedTech article here.
The event will also feature a panel discussion, “Switzerland 2025, Belgium 2030, France 2033: The Promise of Digital,” examining DAB+ developments and future growth in Europe. Charles-Emmanuel Bon of Radio France/Ensemble pour le DAB and Christophe Schalk of Alliance de la Radio will offer insights into the role of DAB+ in driving innovation and ensuring sustainable growth for the broadcast radio sector.
