Digital audio solutions provider Targetspot has launched Podcast Marketplace for the U.K. market. The service creates nuanced audience packages based on the context of the podcast content and audience-centric interest data.
The consolidated marketplace offer benefits for both advertisers and podcasters as the popularity of podcasting grows, notes Targetspot. As of 2020, there were more than 15 million podcast listeners in the U.K. The company cited the July 2020 Statista Advertising & Media Outlook survey, which forecasted close to 20 million listeners in the U.K. by 2024.
With a reach of over 50 million monthly listens, the Podcast Marketplace offers advertisers access to relevant audiences “in a brand-safe environment and at competitive prices through a self-owned tech stack that Targetspot has developed.” Clients have options for programmatic and managed services.
The Podcast Marketplace also offers U.K. advertisers the potential to reach global audiences through its network capabilities and whitelisted content in North America, Europe and Asia.
“Our global mission is helping both advertisers and publishers grow their businesses through the power of digital audio. We operate globally on multiple markets, with different levels of maturity. The U.K. is a mature environment that naturally demanded this consolidated approach in our existing podcast offer and it perfectly aligns with our global portfolio of services,” said Alexandre Ouhady, CRO at Targetspot.
