Registration has opened for this year’s SwissRadioDay, which will take place on Thursday, Aug. 27, at Kaufleuten in Zurich, with both in-person and livestream participation available. Organizers describe the annual meeting as Switzerland’s main radio industry gathering, bringing together public and private broadcasters, suppliers, rights organizations and media students for a condensed morning of presentations followed by networking sessions.
Presented by Swisscom Broadcast, the event will feature short-format conference sessions, a networking lunch and an afternoon aperitif supported by SUISA and Swissperform. Organizers also said special hotel rates have been arranged through Zurich Tourism and Kuoni Tumlare for attendees traveling in the night before.
Participation is free for Swiss radio stations, industry partners and media students, supported by a consortium of Swiss broadcast and music-sector partners including SRG SSR, VSP, RRR, Unikom, Digris, Corall, SwissMediaCast, Audion, SUISA, Swissperform and IFPI. SwissRadioDay has been organized annually since 1999 as the only event dedicated exclusively to the Swiss radio sector across all of the country’s language regions.
