Radio.Cloud has partnered with YEA Media Group, a U.S.-based syndication company, to expand hyper-localized content distribution using its cloud-based radio operating system.
At the center of the agreement is YEA Media Group’s “The Greg Beharrell Show,” a syndicated program carried on multiple U.S. stations. Using Radio.Cloud’s Content Controller will localize and distribute the show to affiliates across the country. The first station to take the localized version is KUPL-FM in Portland, Oregon, which is part of Connoisseur Media, a U.S. radio group that operates stations in several mid-sized markets.
“Greg Beharrell is one of the hardest working radio talents, but with a product like Radio.Cloud, he can work smarter, not harder, when it comes to customizing his show for listeners,” said Shawn Nunn, president of YEA Media Group.
“Our belief is that radio stations shouldn’t have to give up their local brands even for 5–10 minutes during syndicated or network programming,” said Andrew Scaglione, account director at Radio.Cloud. “We’re very excited that YEA Media Group sees that vision as well. Their talent lineup is strong, and we look forward to helping grow those programs.”
Other syndicated shows already using the Content Controller for localized distribution include “Throwback Nation Radio” and “The Jeff Foxx Show.”
