Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, Radio Clodia has upgraded its production facilities with a DHD SX2 audio mixing console and XC3 IP processing core. Milan-based broadcast systems supplier and integrator BVmedia supervised the project.
Founded in 1984, Radio Clodia broadcasts on FM 103.6 to listeners in the Veneto region of north-eastern Italy and streams online and through its own app. The station’s programming focuses on music, featuring Italian and international hits from the 1980s to today, alongside news and information.
“We are delighted to welcome Radio Clodia, a historic local station from Chioggia, to our family of clients,” said Roberto Zeccara, senior project manager at BVmedia. “As part of a complete overhaul of their broadcast systems, they turned to us for digitizing and optimizing their technical resources.”
Radio Clodia selected the 10-channel DHD SX2, which is now used as both the studio console and for audio routing. AoIP Dante channel mapping is shared across the production and broadcast structure. Known for its versatility and ease of use, the SX2 allows presenters to work confidently in self-op mode with features like snapshot recall, scenes and surface layout configurations. The station also purchased DHD’s AssistApp for remote support.
“DHD mixing systems are easy to configure and intuitive to operate, reducing the need for extensive training. Assignable control buttons and the TFT touchscreen offer operators the flexibility to configure the mixer according to their preferences with minimal technical support,” Zeccara added.
