Podcast Day 24 announced that the Australian portion of the June 7 event will include a live, in-person component, held at Overseas Passenger Terminal by Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The 24-hour global event focused on the podcasting industry is divided into three legs. The day starts in Australia, then moves to Europe and ends in North America. Each leg has over 30 speakers, covering a variety of podcast topics. Ticket holders get access to the 24-hour livestream and can watch the sessions on-demand later. Australia is the only zone to have a live, in-person event.
“We’ve had such a positive response to the online event, it made sense to give it an upgrade and bring together Australia’s podcast community together in Sydney,” said Matt Deegan from the Australian Podcast Awards.
The conference portion from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. AEST will feature speakers from shows, networks and platforms. From 4 to 6 p.m, Podcast Day 24 will host Upfronts, a showcase for podcast networks share their upcoming shows, activities and special projects with advertising agency guests. A networking reception with cocktails from Four Pillars and Fever Tree will follow.
In-person tickets for the whole day are available for AUD$279+GST. It includes access to the European and North American online portions. Online-only tickets are AUD$179 (£99/€114 +VAT). Those in Australia who have already bought their online tickets will have the opportunity to convert to in-person.
Free tickets for Upfronts and the reception are available to the advertising industry on a first-come, first-served basis.
