Ensemble pour le DAB+ urges French government to strengthen public support
StreamGuys has announced that it will be demonstrating enhancements to its Ultra-Low Latency Streaming technology at the upcoming NAB Show.
One market StreamGuys is particularly high on for ULLS streaming usage via apps at sports stadiums and arenas. Many fans listen to a local broadcast radio play-by-play feed while at the game but it is on a short delay. ULLS can eliminate that delay for mobile device users. Or the venue/team could provide its own feed.
The announcement noted, “By delivering the experience inside official mobile apps, organizations drive app downloads, increase user engagement and establish direct relationships with fans. Benefits for the sports franchise include live push notifications, merchandise promotions, concession offers and other targeted communications throughout the season.”
One of the ULLS technical enhancements StreamGuys will be the addition of preroll ad insertion for ULLS streams. In addition iOS devices are also now ULLS-compatible.
StreamGuys Executive Vice President of Technology Eduardo Martinez explained, “[W]e’re giving sponsorship teams new inventory they can monetize, providing a built-in revenue opportunity through our Ad Network Marketplace, and helping organizations strengthen direct relationships with their fans through their own apps. It’s about preserving tradition while enabling smarter digital growth.”
Of course all of the above pertains to most any venue with entertainment content and visitors.
