BBC World Service launches emergency radio program for Iran audiences
Radio broadcast equipment and software tools sales and service vet Joe Myers has been hired by Broadcast Electronics an announcement said. He’ll be the director of Software Solutions, handling the AudioVault, The Radio Experience TRE+ lines along with the partnership with newsroom software system, NewsBoss.
BE President and COO Rich Redmond said, “I am pleased that Joe has agreed to take a leadership role in growing our software portfolio of great products including AudioVault, TRE+ and our strong partnership with NewsBoss. Myers said, “I’m excited to take on this expanded role within BE. With the industry landscape changing, I look forward to the challenges of incorporating new technologies and designing workflows to make sure our customers have the tools to remain competitive as they embrace the future.”
In the past Myers has worked for Harris Broadcast/GatesAir, ENCO, DJB and MaxxKonnect. The release added, “Myers has extensive experience developing and deploying radio software and automation solutions as well as a strong background programming radio stations.”
