United States-based Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, Inc. (MIW) and Country Radio Broadcasters (CRB), a non-profit organization responsible for staging the annual Country Radio Seminar (CRS), have opened applications for the 2025 “Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Country Radio” mentorship program. Now in its second year, the initiative supports women working in country radio by providing professional development, networking and leadership opportunities.
The year-long program connects one selected mentee with industry leaders for one-on-one mentorship and career growth. The mentee will also attend the 2026 Country Radio Seminar in Nashville. The mentorship is open to women employed full-time at a U.S. country radio station with at least five years of experience. Applications are open through March 22, 2025.
“CRS is thrilled to continue with MIW in launching the Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Country Radio program,” said CRB Executive Director RJ Curtis. “This collaboration reflects our commitment to fostering diversity and empowering women within the country radio industry.”
Sarah Weaver, the 2024 mentee, said, “The connections, guidance and opportunities I received through MIW and CRS were invaluable. I encourage anyone passionate about growing in country radio to apply.”
MIW Board President Sheila Kirby said, “At MIW, our mission is to elevate and support women in radio, and this mentorship is a vital part of that effort. Country radio has a rich history and a bright future, and we are grateful for the continued partnership with CRS as we cultivate the next generation of female leaders.”
Applications are open through March 22 and you can find application details here.
