The N.Y.-based company have a mission to "make free speech safe"
Lawo has introduced Mix Kitchen, a remote control system for its mc²-series audio production consoles.
Lawo says the goal in developing the system was to assist audio engineers during the lockdown situation. “Mix Kitchen is a long-term solution for any scenario where physical access to the broadcast center is cumbersome or simply impossible due to changed travel arrangements, traffic conditions, etc.,” it said in a release.
Mix Kitchen makes use of a Mackie HUI-compatible fader panel, and according to the company, only requires slight configuration adaptions (using supplied templates) to enable the Nova73 console core on the broadcaster’s premises to be remote controlled.
Mac or Windows compatible, its possible to complement Mix Kitchen with an integrated vsmPanel for full remote control over third-party broadcast studio devices. Mix Kitchen, which includes LiveView video monitoring capabilities in combination with Lawo’s IP video solutions, also provides access to other functions like processing, bus control and presets.
