Beasley Media Group has promoted Lamar Smith to Director of Corporate Engineering.
Smith, who joined the company in 2011, previously served as vice president of engineering. In his new role, he will oversee engineering activities across Beasley’s 57 radio properties in the United States.
“Lamar’s commitment, dedication and experience are exactly what we need as the organization continues to evolve and innovate into the future,” said Beasley Media Group Chief Executive Officer Caroline Beasley.
“Many thanks to Caroline and the Beasley family for this incredible opportunity,” Smith said. “I look forward to leading the engineering division as the company continues to evolve for years to come.”
Smith will officially begin his new role on Sept. 1 and will remain based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
