Sennheiser Spectera sits at center of NEP Australia’s audio overhaul
The IABM’s prestigious BaM Awards are back, and with the welcome return of in-person events, the trade association has doubled up to its familiar biannual format.
With a second BAM Awards event scheduled in London on Dec. 7, the IABM has opened entries for the NAB edition of the awards in April. The winners will be announced at a BaM Awards reception on Apr. 17 during the NAB Show in Las Vegas. Entries close on Mar. 6 and the shortlisted finalists will be announced on Mar. 21.
The IABM BaM Awards recognize outstanding technological innovations that deliver real business and creative benefits. The BaMs are the only truly independent technology awards in the industry and are recognized as the gold standard for rewarding broadcast and media innovation. Judging is carried out by a panel of more than 40 independent judges and submissions are open to every company, irrespective of whether they are an IABM member or not, that has launched a new product, service or solution since March 7, 2022.
Entries are encouraged in nine categories, with a 10th category for an outstanding project, collaboration or event. The categories are:

- Manage
- Monetize
- Publish
- Store
- Connect
- Support
- Consume
IABM CTO, Stan Moote, who is chairing the judging panel, said, “With the pace of innovation continuing to accelerate, it’s great to be able to return to two editions of the BaM Awards to recognize breakthrough technologies in a more timely manner. I’m looking forward to marveling at the ingenuity and inventiveness of our great industry.”
