After many years of active participation in the IBC convention, DHD.audio has announced that it intends to withdraw from IBC2021 due to the current COVID-19 health situation in Amsterdam and the Netherlands.
The organizers of IBC2021 revealed earlier today that they would go ahead with the in-person at the RAI in Amsterdam, despite a three-week partial lockdown in the Netherlands that started on Nov.13. The Netherlands government will revisit the restrictions on Dec. 3 — the day IBC2021 is due to start.
The DHD management board says it places health and safety above all other considerations. “We do not feel justified in asking employees, partners and customers to participate in this year’s exhibition. We hope to see all our partners and customers again at IBC2022 or in other formats such as online-meetings or suitably safeguarded personal visits,” the company said in a statement.
