DTS report highlights importance of vehicle ownership and third-space role
Automation system developer CGI, to be found at IBC show Stand 8.B47, is bringing to Amsterdam its latest updates to dira Dimension, which it describes as a “web-based, cloud-native radio production suite, which can be deployed in various environments, including public or private cloud, on-premises, or hybrid setups.”
Getting into the details, CGI says, “dira Dimension includes a flexible workflow engine, which now integrates with AI for tasks such as automated transcription and text-to-speech functionality.” And it adds, “[I]t offers a newly designed Workflow Engine Dimension for nonlinear distribution and on-demand channels, along with server-based rendering, improving remote workflows and reducing network traffic usage for journalists.”
The latest for the dira Onair Player will also be on display.
CGI also has a substantial AI push for its OpenMedia “intellectual property solution,” much of which could be of use to radio and TV broadcasters; especially for their newsroom operations. Tools using generative AI include those for summary creation, research, content analysis (shown), text rephrasing, translation and social posting will be demonstrated. The OpenMedia platform also offers business monitoring and intelligence tools.
