At the 2025 NAB Show, CGI will highlight its latest innovations in radio production and newsroom workflow integration, focusing on its dira and OpenMedia platforms. The company will also demonstrate how these tools connect with leading partner technologies to streamline operations across radio and broadcast environments.
A key feature at CGI’s booth will be dira Dimension, the sixth generation of the company’s professional radio production suite. CGI says the new browser-based system enables remote audio content management across the entire broadcast chain — from planning and creation to playout and archiving. The dira suite supports modular, scalable workflows for live and pre-produced content and is already used by public and private broadcasters worldwide.
CGI will also showcase integrations with its OpenMedia newsroom computer system, demonstrating how the platform connects with tools used across editorial, production and playout environments. Partner demos will include:
- Chyron (booth SL1511) — presenting newsroom production workflows that integrate directly with OpenMedia for a unified editorial and graphics experience.
- EVS (booth SL3316) — highlighting integration between OpenMedia and EVS VIA MAP for centralized asset management across the content lifecycle.
- Highfield AI (at the Vizrt booth W3031) — demonstrating AI-enhanced news workflows that link directly to OpenMedia, enabling intelligent search and content recommendations.
- Grass Valley (booth N506) — showing how OpenMedia streamlines asset management and planning through integration with Grass Valley production tools.
Transforming newsrooms
CGI says its media-focused IT consulting services — including AI adoption, systems integration and change management — are designed to help broadcasters adapt to new technologies while maintaining operational continuity. The company also provides 24/7 cybersecurity services and digital accessibility support tailored for media organizations.
Michael Thielen, vice president of media solutions at CGI, said, “NAB is a key event for the industry and plays a major role in shaping the future of international broadcasting. By collaborating with our proven partners, we’re shining a light on how AI-driven automation, seamless asset management and integrated media workflows are transforming newsrooms and radio production environments.”
CGI will be available throughout the show and at the IABM Lounge located in the North Hall Meeting Rooms, Level 2, to discuss strategies for evolving broadcast infrastructure and optimizing content workflows with radio and newsroom teams.
