VILVOORDE, Belgium — DPG Media Radio Director An Caers will exit the company as of December. Caers joined DPG Media in 2015 as marketing and communications manager for the Qmusic and Joe radio brands. She later became radio director and took on the management of DPG Media’s radio business and events.
DPG Media intends to restructure its radio department with the respective channel managers playing a central role and reporting directly to Dirk Lodewijckx, general manager for TV, streaming and radio.
At press time, Qmusic and Joe named program director Robin Vissenaekens as channel manager for Joe. The channel manager position for Qmusic is now open. The two channel managers replace the position of radio director.
“The past five years were a great experience,” said Caers. “When I switched over from consumer marketing to radio, I thought I knew speed, but radio is really a Formula One race. In no time, I became aware of the huge impact of our radio brands, Qmusic and Joe. The combination of organizing innovative events and being at the cradle of the new DAB+ station, Willy, were fantastic moments. Achieving great results is the merit of a strong team of experts and professionals. I feel honored to have been able to support the creativity and passion of my radio and event colleagues.”
Lodewijckx applauded the working collaboration with Caers. “An continued to build the success of our radio brands with passion and drive. She started the digitization of our radio brands while focusing on the team. I wish her a bright future,” he said.
